Welcome to TerrapinTunnel. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our service.

1. No Affiliation with the University of Maryland

TerrapinTunnel is an independent, student-created project. It is NOT officially affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with the University of Maryland (UMD), Testudo, or any of its subsidiaries or its affiliates. All course data is provided for informational purposes only. You must always use the official UMD Testudo portal for actual course registration.

2. Use of Service

You agree to use TerrapinTunnel only for your personal, non-commercial academic planning. You agree not to:

  • Use the service in any way that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair the site.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any parts of the site or our servers.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers against our website.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties ("As-Is")

Our service relies on third-party data sources (like Testudo) that we do not control. The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of course data, seat counts, or notifications. We do not guarantee that an alert will reach you in time to register for a class.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TerrapinTunnel and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use our service.
  • Missed course registrations, delayed graduations, or academic scheduling conflicts.
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein.

5. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the service at our sole discretion, without notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms of Service.

6. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will indicate updates by changing the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the service constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
