1. No affiliation with the University of Maryland

TerrapinTunnel is an independent, student-created project. It is not affiliated with, authorized or endorsed by the University of Maryland (UMD) or Testudo. Register for classes through Testudo, the University’s official system.

2. Degree progress is a planning aid, not an audit

The requirements, progress and prerequisite warnings in the planner are our best reading of published catalog pages and may be incomplete, out of date or wrong for your catalog year. They are not an official degree audit and do not replace your advisor or the University’s own audit. Confirm your graduation requirements with your college before relying on them.

3. Use of the service

Use TerrapinTunnel for your own, non-commercial academic planning. Don’t:

• Use the service in a way that could disable, overburden or damage it.
• Try to access accounts, data or parts of the service that aren’t yours.
• Run automated scripts, bots or scrapers against the website.
• Send abusive, unlawful or spam content through the Support or report forms.

4. Your content

Your plans, schedules and messages are yours. You give us permission to store and display them only as needed to run the service — for example, to show a shared plan to people who have its link. You can stop sharing or delete them at any time. How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

Course, section and seat information comes from sources we don’t control, such as Testudo and PlanetTerp, and may be delayed or inaccurate. The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties, express or implied, about the accuracy, reliability or availability of course data, seat counts, requirements or saved work.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, TerrapinTunnel and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your use of, or inability to use, the service.
• Missed registrations, delayed graduation or scheduling conflicts.
• Unauthorized access to our servers or the information stored on them.

7. Accounts

You can delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page, and continuing to use the service means you accept the new terms.
